Feng Liu Chicago | Feng Liu Street Photography

Currently, there are many photography books and competitions on the market and online. However, most of it is junk and rubbish. I really don't want to look at them again and sometimes I don't want to look at them at all. I still like the works of classic photographers such as Henri Cartier-Bresson and Robert Doisneau. Every time I read their books, I always have fresh feelings and feel their humor and curiosity. Their gaze reaches the very bottom of our daily lives. They are classic. I always feel that looking at their works can sharpen my eyes. They were not very popular during their most productive period, but their works lasted longer than any other popular works. Popular doesn't mean best. Vivian Maier is a great example for us. In her life, she does not seek any title or reputation. She enjoyed every moment of taking photos. Today, her work is worth millions of dollars and she is more famous than any other Chicago photographer in history. I think if we can fully focus on our photography and nothing else, then we'll be able to create better work.
