I am fortunate to pursue a career I love. I have a passion for sports and served as captain of my high school basketball team. I am also an accomplished engineer; throughout my engineering career, I published numerous research papers and led the design of multiple projects. Today, photography is my primary vocation, and I deeply enjoy the process of connecting with others through it. To date, I have created over three million images. Among them, the work that left the deepest impression on me was a documentary photography series capturing Chicago Cubs fans between 2005 and 2008; I still recall feeling that the 20mm lens on my film camera wasn't quite wide enough at the time. Although I take more photos than ever, I am reluctant to look back at or critique my own work—which is why I rarely publish new pieces publicly. I find greater meaning in simply continuing to shoot. I believe that when I look back on these images in the future, they will surprise me. Frankly, I do not need "advice" or "guidance"; I simply want to do things my own way—that is how I live my life. As for what I will do after sports, engineering, and photography, I have no definite plans yet.
